V/DRAIN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS...

After Market Floor Plans- Use V/Drain ULTRA

V/Drain can be used in any of the aftermarket floor pans.  Installing a V/Drain with an aftermarket floor pan will definitely increase the utility of the floor pan by making the clean up faster and significantly easier.

People often ask if they can re-use the V/drain when they re-use their floor pan.  Although the V/Drain will outlast your floor pan, It is only guaranteed for the life of the original installation.  My usual suggestion is to use the V/Drain to seal the hole in the floor and purchase a new set of drains for the new vehicle.

1. Read and understand all instructions before attempting installation.

2. Wear gloves and safety goggles during installation.

Locating the installation point

1. First purchase the V/Drain ULTRA model.  The extra length will be necessary, and when the installation is complete, you can cut off the extra drain tube.

2. Locate the area where you want to install your drain.  Check under the vehicle to make sure there are no obstructions.  I would suggest drilling a small pilot hole from the bottom up to orient yourself when you are on the top side of the vehicle.  Check the top side to make sure the pilot hole is where you want your drain.

3. Locate your pilot hole and drill out the sheet metal using a 2 inch metal cutting hole saw from the bottom of the car upwards.

4. Use silicone calking or household goop around the top rim of the hole and place the drain portion into the hole. Take the nut and thread it onto the exposed drain thread under the car. THE ROUNDED HALF OF THE NUT SHOULD BE FACING UPWARDS TO SEAL AND CENTER THE DRAIN INTO THE VEHICLE FLOOR PAN. Tighten the nut securely to compress the insulation and improve the drain performance.
