V/DRAIN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS...

Chevy Impala- Use V/Drain ULTRA model

Before you begin

1. Read and understand all instructions before attempting installation.           

Locating the installation location

1. Determine the low point in your floor pan where the water will naturally accumulate.  This can be done by pouring water on the floor to see where it accumulates.  The V/Drain will amplify the low point when installed, by compressing the padding.

2. Locate this low point under your car and make sure there are no obstructions.

3. Drill out the sheet metal using a 2 inch metal cutting hole saw from the bottom of the car upwards.  Drill only through the metal and allow the pilot bit of the hole saw to drill up through the padding.

4. Locate the pilot hole on the top of the floor covering and re-center your hole saw.  Drill downwards to cut out the rubber floor covering, insulation, and complete the hole.

5. Use silicone calking or household goop and around the top rim of the hole and place the drain portion into the hole.  Take the nut and thread it onto the exposed drain threads under the car. THE ROUNDED HALF OF THE NUT SHOULD BE FACING UPWARDS TO SEAL AND CENTER THE DRAIN INTO THE VEHICLE FLOOR PAN.  Tighten the nut securely to compress the insulation and improve the drain performance.

6. Wipe off excess calking or glue and allow it to dry per manufacturers instructions.

7. Cut off excess drain protruding from bottom of car.

8. Install cap when adhesive is dry.
