V/DRAIN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS... Dodge Charger and Other Applications V/Drain is used in numerous drain applications. I have been informed of its use in K-9 containers, prisoner transport containers, RVs, truck beds, truck tool boxes, box trucks, and of course police cars and taxi cabs. You may be venturing into uncharted territory, but you may not. If you have questions, give me a call, and I will assist you any way I can. Before you begin 1. Read and understand all instructions before attempting installation. 2. Wear gloves and safety goggles during installation.
Locating the installation point 1. First I would purchase the V/Drain ULTRA model. The extra length may be necessary, and when the installation is complete, you can cut off the extra drain tube. If you call me prior to the installation, I will send out the short drain tube also so you can experiment and save yourself the time of cutting off the extra tube. 2. Locate the area where you want to install your drain. Check under the vehicle to make sure there are no obstructions. I would suggest drilling a small pilot hole from the bottom up to orient yourself when you are on the top side of the vehicle. Check the top side to make sure the pilot hole is where you want your drain. 3. Locate your pilot hole and drill out the sheet metal using a 2 inch metal cutting hole saw from the bottom of the car upwards. 4. Use silicone calking or household goop and around the top rim of the hole and place the drain portion into the hole. Take the nut and thread it onto the exposed drain threads under the car. THE ROUNDED HALF OF THE NUT SHOULD BE FACING UPWARDS TO SEAL AND CENTER THE DRAIN INTO THE VEHICLE FLOOR PAN. Tighten the nut securely to compress the insulation and improve the drain performance. 5. Wipe off excess.
